saturday morning

[SATURDAY+MORN.jpg]

Ah, working in retail means that sadly most of my weekends are spent hustlin at Topshop and I'm always sad to leave my house in the morning where my parents are planning their day around the sofa and papers and various lovely meals to punctuate the weekend. So I am fully embracing having the day off today. I mean it. So this is what my weekend looks like thus far. My faithful Nigella Lawson recipe for American pancakes, a fairly early start with The Guardian crossword, Best Coast on repeat and an outfit consisting of clogs, a checked shirt and high waisted jeans (that jeans quest I spoke of the other day has finally and abrupted come to an end, hurrah!)

Please indulge the details of your weekend and what you have planned. I'm nosy like that.

the pancakes look perfect. as do the jeans, where did your quest finally reach its beautiful end? my old topshop highwaisteds are pretty much falling apart.
this also makes me wish i kept my tammy-girl clogs i had back in the day.

My weekend has begun with an unforgiving hangover that I'm praying goes away so i can get to all the writing that needs to be done for school. I wish I could say my day involved pancakes, but the closest I've gotten to that lovely pic is a mushy banana!

I freaking adore these! pancakes, newspaper, that shirt...
since midterms are getting close and I'm interning 2,5 days per week on top of full time studies, my weekends are pretty boring: usually gym + studying :) fortunately just one month until the term ends ;D

im also wondering where you got your jeans from =)im sure its a shop which we dont have here, but still. however, i have been successful at finding a pair of high-waisted shorts =)

today i had a sleep in, woke up to blue sky and then went into town, with my summer jacket on! lovely!

My friends and I had Dutch pancakes this morning (those yours looked way more delicious) and I'm spending the rest of the day finalizing college applications.

Glad your blog is here to distract me from essay writing!

your day off: tremendous. Mine: wandering around in socks and yesterday's t-shirt, writing some, a blueberry smoothie and later a walk with a good friend and their dog

Today has consisted of shopping, lunching and starbucks-ing and will be out drinking, dancing and being generally debaucherous tonight. So tomorrow will inevitably be spent in a hangover-fuelled haze... Oh well!

mm pancakes. I was going to have pancakes yesterday for breakfast but my partner stopped me and encouraged me to eat something healthier. Boo. Now I want pancakes. I start uni on monday, therefore my last day of freedom will be spent at work, doing absurd things like encouraging customers to buy half-priced scarves. Goodie :P

What is Saturday morning? I haven't had a Saturday morning in like 3 years. I'm going to a Beatles party tonight! I'm all dressed up like Edie Sedgwick and I'm about to leave the house...I'm sure I'll put pictures on my blog

Husband brings me soy latte in bed (he picks it up on the way home from an early surf).
He jumps back in bed, we watch Rage hosted by Florence Welch (Aus music show that plays music videos from mightnight saturday to midday sunday-I tuned in at 13 years of age and 10 years later I m totally addicted!)
Avocado and Persian Fetta on toast and the Newspaper.
Local farmers market.
And now I'm making curry with all the vegetables I bought while my bunny Holiday tries to knock over my glass of Pinot!

Your blog is my favourite! Thanks for your generous posts!
